Scouting newsgroups
Newsgroups rec.scouting.*
Did you know that you can read newsgroups using a WWW browser ?
(provided everything is set up in the right way; the news will still
come from your local news host, not from the machine containing this
document).
This is the international rec.scouting.* newsgroup hierarchy:
Global ScoutNet
- The newsgroups of the Global ScoutNet:
- See news.scoutnet.org
Other newsgroups
- Global ScoutNet has a
a href="http://news.scoutnet.org/">listing of
newsgroups, probably better kept up-to-date than this one.
- Another international newsgroup:
- alt.scouting
- In Australia:
- aus.org.scouting
- In Canada:
- can.scout-guide
- In Chile:
- chile.scout
- In Germany:
- de.soc.jugendarbeit
- fido.ger.pfadfinder
- (I gues these have mover to news.scoutnet.de but I'm not quite sure)
- In Italy:
- it.sociale.scout
- In the Netherlands:
- See news.scoutnet.nl for
description, and
index of newsgroups
- In Norway:
- no.speider
- In Sweden:
- se.organisation.scouting
- In Taiwan:
- tw.bbs.rec.scouting
- In the United Kingdom:
- uk.rec.scouting
- In the United States of America:
- us.rec.scouting
Once again : if you cannot reach any of these newsgroups, it is not my fault.
News always comes from your local news host, so in case of problems, either
your local news host does not carry this group (complain to the administrator
of the news host) or your www browser is not configured to contact the right
news server (ask your local system guru).
